Wim Hof Method: A technique to reveal yourself

The Wim Hof method is above all a story of solidarity in the face of life's movements. Invented by a Dutchman nicknamed "the ice man", the discipline promises to adopt a new way of life based on the combination of a breathing method and exposure to the cold.


What is the Wim Hof Method?

Since 2000, the Wim Hof method has had thousands of followers in France and millions around the world. It is based on three pillars:

  • A specific breathing technique,

  • A contact with the polar cold,

  • Meditation exercises.

It promises an increase in energy, better sleep, stress reduction and a stronger immune system. It is recommended to train with a certified instructor such as Léandre Iceboy, but you can already adopt the cold breathing therapy by taking a cold shower every day in a gradual way (30 seconds after the hot shower, and up to 2 minutes of exposure to the cold), by lowering the thermostat of your home and by practicing the breathing exercises unique to the Wim Hof method once or twice a day.

The Wim Hof method allows you to discover a new way of living. The instructors are trained through the example of a unique benevolence and a collective emotional sharing. The combination of a breathing technique and an immersion in cold water allows to act on the psychological and physical mechanisms. It is a true discipline accessible to all, allowing one to learn to receive and to know oneself better.


A source of inspiration

It was after a great sentimental disappointment that Wim Hof and Léandre Iceboy embarked on a mission: to bring happiness, strength and good health to all. A long time practitioner, the certified coach was a professional poker player, he weighed 130 kilos until he discovered the Wim Hof method. Following an incredible personal and physical transformation, he now offers to share the healing effects of this method. Through his training and his extraordinary abilities, Léandre Iceboy has also (and above all) been able to forge a strong mind and an unfailing optimism. He can now stay in an ice tube for 45 minutes and tells us that he will climb Kilimanjaro in shorts this summer!


Prevention to repair the body

If the Wim Hof method is centered on the achievement of oneself and one's relationships with others, it also allows to have a positive impact on the immune system, especially the innate and specific ones. Our immune system does not really know how to protect itself against external attacks anymore, the Wim Hof method teaches the body to defend itself. "Stress causes inflammation. A lot of stress suppresses it," explains Léandre Omeir.


A preventive effect against Covid-19

People with Covid-19 often have an elevated inflammatory response in the body. With the Wim Hof method, the body will build a positive response to inflammation.
